The “Merger Filing Fee Modernization Act of 2021” would update all filing fees for mergers, including a substantial increase for high-value transactions. The bill would also boost the Federal Trade Commission’s budget to $418 million, and the Department of Justice Antitrust Division’s budget to $252 million.
